I love watching Luke sleep.
He is so peaceful looking.
When he was a baby and I would rock him to sleep, I could spend minutes/hours looking at him.
He is growing and changing so much...
He said his first official sentence the other day.
"Momma, Luke go to Poppy's house and eat pancakes!"
It melts my heart when he tacks our names on the end of sentences...
"No thank you, momma"
"I love you, momma"
"Thank you, Mommy and Dada"
There is just something special about your name at the end of a sentence as opposed to the beginning.
"Momma, COME ON!"
Before every meal (snack time and public restaurants included-we're not ashamed), Luke prays before he eats.
"God. Pray. Poppy (Grandpa), Two Mommmooos (Grandmas), Joe (Grandpa-my dad-I would like to clarify that we do not call my dad Joe, Luke did that one on his own!), Katie (my little niece), Mama, Dada, Luke, School, Church, the Circus (yeah seriously), Duke (Jason's parents Dog), Jesus...AMEN!"
(really you can insert any of the days activities into the above)
He has been going potty consistently for the past few days.
Waking up from naps dry.
And so proud of himself that when we were at the library a few days ago, he announced his big accomplishment to the whole library after he was done!
He is also getting really good at peddling with the tricycle.
He could do it last year, but his little legs were too short and he needed some assistance.
The kid has a loooonnng torso.
Its Luke's favorite time of the year, second to shoveling snow...

He literally imitated everything that Jason did too while mowing.
including pretend adjusting things on the mower itself
Here Luke is with his favorite person on the planet...his Poppy...
life doesn't get much better than this...
